Representing Your Views
A key aspect of the arts forum's work is to represent your views and campaign for a better deal for the arts to the various public agencies or other community organisations working in the town, the region, or further afield.
To achieve this, we hold a seat on a number of organisations in the town.
Hastings Community Network
This organisation is funded publicly and is designed to help shape public services by bringing together a wide array of community organisations to discuss issues, liaise with authorities and campaign for better services.
Hastings & St.Leonards Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)
This is a Government-sponsored organisation which brings together all of the major public agencies in the town and meets quarterly to co-ordinate the achievement of the town's Community Strategy, a 21-target plan for Hastings' regeneration The Community Network holds six seats on this organisation and the arts forum chairman, Alastair Fairley, is currently its vice-chair and former co-chair for 2005.
The LSP Culture Sector Group
Established in 2004, this group brings together all the key cultural service agencies in the region and works to promote, develop and fund culture and the arts.
You can have your voice and opinions heard at any time on these organisations by contacting us by post, by email, or by attending one of our quarterly forum meetings.
